Rates & Payments
North Sydney Council offers several options for customers to make payments. Should payment not be received for an instalment by the relevant due date, interest will accrue on a daily basis. Payments may be made in the following ways:

BPAY (rates only)Council accepts payments through BPAY. For further details, please go to > BPAY website Note: from 15 Dec 2006 credit card payments through BPAY are NOT available. All other BPAY payment methods are still available.

BPOINT: 24 hour telephone payment (rates only)Payments of council rates can also be made by credit card over the phone. The accepted cards are MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Diners. Make sure you have your BPAY reference numbers from your rates notice, and then call: 1300 276 468 (1300 BPOINT).

Online ServicesCredit card and PayPal (requires an account setup with PayPal) are accepted. Payments can be made through North Sydney Council's secure > Online Services

Post BillpayTake the whole of your notice to any Post Office who will issue you with a receipt. It can be paid with cash, cheque or eftpos.

Mail PaymentCertain payments are accepted by mail, please refer to your rates or debtor's notice for details on how to pay by mail.

Customer Service CentreCouncil cashiers are available 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday to receive payments which can be made with cash, cheque, debit or credit card.

Credit Card Service Fee Council charges a 1% service fee, inclusive of GST, on credit card transactions. This fee offsets the cost of accepting credit card payments. The service fee applies to all over-the-counter transactions, all online transactions, Council car park fees and credit card deduction authorities. Please note that, at this stage, credit card payments through BPay are not an option.
