North Sydney has a proud tradition of protecting the natural environment, leading the way in many different areas such as recycling, bushland regeneration, stormwater management and energy efficiency.

The funds from the Environmental Levy are used exclusively to finance environmental programs and initiatives arising from existing environmental Plans of Management, Strategies and Rehabilitation Plans

The areas where funds from the Levy are being used are:

  1. Energy conservation
  2. Bushland rehabilitation
  3. Stormwater management
  4. Water conservation
