Bradfield Park North

In December 2006 works concluded on the northern section of Bradfield Park, Milsons Point to upgrade and beautify this important area of community land bounded by the western side of the Bradfield Highway, Alfred Street, Lavender Street and the Burton Street tunnel.

Newly constructed was the provision of improved pedestrian linkages, establishment of a paved plaza area, enhancement of the Burton Street Tunnel, creation of a 'gateway' at the northern end of the park, installation of interpretive information regarding the site's history, new turf and garden bed areas and lighting and seating. 

Council, in conjunction with Spackman and Mossop (consultant Landscape Architects), prepared sketches to illustrate the upgrade proposal after the upgrade was approved by council on 3 February 2003.
