Getting There

Car: the nearest disabled parking for North Sydney Oval is Ridge St, North Sydney.

Train: the nearest railway station is North Sydney, about 15 minutes by foot or five to ten minutes by car.

The nearest accessible station with a lift is Milsons Point. Buses and wheelchair taxis are available from this station. The railway stations at St Leonards, Waverton and Wollstonecraft are also accessible. Note that the gap between platforms and trains at Wollstonecraft may be quite wide because of the curved platform.

Bus: details about accessible lower floor buses which go via North Sydney Station and Miller Street to the Oval are available by contacting the State Transit Authority depot on 131500 or www.sydneybuses.info/accessibility

Stanton Library Facilities

There is an extensive collection of large print books, talking books and captioned videos. There is a lift system within the Library which connects all floors. An accessible toilet is located in the ground floor. Some of the book shelves for adults are high and access to them requires staff assistance.

A hearing loop is supplied on request for author's readings, and an 'easy listening' device for individual conversation is available from reception. There is also an open reading machine that reads printed material aloud.
