Why is Sydney So Prone to Thunderstorms?

The reasons for Sydney's vulnerability to severe thunderstorms will be revealed by chief New South Wales meteorologist Rob Webb next Wednesday at North Sydney Council.

Rob Webb is a leader in the forecasting world with more than 15 years experience.  A former Manager of Severe Weather at the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, storms are a subject very close to Rob Webb's heart. 

Rob's talk will focus on why Sydney is prone to severe thunderstorms and how meteorologists and enthusiastic amateurs can track and forecast storms.

The talk will run from 7pm-9pm, on Wednesday 8 March at Hutley Hall, North Sydney Council, 200 Miller Street, North Sydney.  Rob Webb is available for interview and can be contacted on 9296 1528.
