Winners - North Sydney Bus Shelter and Canopy Entrance Competition 2006
The Competition was an ideas-generation process initiated to attract a number of architectural design concepts for the development of new bus shelters for Miller Street in North Sydney CBD and canopy entrance to the Greenwood Plaza/North Sydney Railway Station.
Run in conjunction with DARCH, the competition has the endorsement of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA).
The competition intended to spark debate in the community about design, inspire creative thinking, and encourage the concept of design to be viewed from different perspectives.
Design submissions were received from local, interstate and international entrants.
The following independent qualified panel were chosen to select the winning designs: Deborah Dearing - Architect, Urban Designer, President of RAIA, Camilla Block - Architect, Eva-Marie Prineas- Architect, Chair of DARCH
After careful deliberation, the Panel selected a number of winning entries. Congratulations to the following:
