Attaining citizenship is a wonderful event and the citizenship ceremony celebrates this.

New citizens participate in the ceremony and receive their certificate and several mementoes of the event as well.

Council is the host for the citizenship ceremonies, any enquires regarding your citizenship application should be directed to Department of Immigration & Citizenship on 131 880.

North Sydney Council's citizenship ceremonies are held on these dates:

Time: 6pm - 7pm

  • 26 January at 10am  Australia Day
  • 8 March
  • 12 April
  • 17 May
  • 28 June
  • 9 August
  • 20 September
  • 25 October
  • 29 November (last for the year, no ceremonies in February, July, December 2012)
