6. Cremorne Reserve, Cremorne Point
Bushcare Groups Map (755KB)
Indigenous coastal Hawkesbury Sandstone bushland thrives, with a helping hand from the enthusiastic Bushcare group. Many bird species are common to Cremorne Point, including small wrens using the lantana, Tawny Frogmouths nest annually in the area and the rare Powerful Owl has been sighted. Grey-headed Flying foxes visit the area while travelling from their colony at the Royal Botanical Gardens to feed for the evening.
The Cremorne Point Bushcare group was formed in 1993 and is supported by other bush regeneration works in the area. The Cremorne Reserve Bushcare group works at two sites on the peninsular. Come along and join them!
