This free festival is now in its tenth year and has grown from a small celebration with a few hundred children to a Family Fun Day attracting 4,000 people each year.

The festival aims to promote children's services in the North Sydney area with community stalls consisting of local playgroups, Child Care services, and after school care services in the area. Council Services such as Bushcare, Environmental Sustainability, Stanton Library, Family Day Care, Community Information and the Aboriginal Heritage Office are also represented on the day.

This year the theme will beTreasure Island - Pirates & Mermaids and all things fishy, which should really capture the imagination of the young and young at heart.

Popular children's entertainers Pirate Pete, the Funky Fins Puppet Show and a Pirate Magician will be featured along side local young performers from All Stars Performing Arts, Centrestage Academy, North Sydney Girls High School Wind Ensemble and the Jazz Workshop.

Sparrow Sports will be providing free sports activities, and each local community stall will provide free art and craft activities based on the theme.

Kindifarm, Australian Wildlife Displays and Rangers on the Run will showcase baby farm animals, reptiles, native wildlife and a touch tank of sea creatures for the children to enjoy.

So ahoy me hearties... dress up and bring the family along for a fantastic and free outing, while also learning about the creatures that inhabit the high seas.
