Footprints

Hey, we're on > Facebook

Footprints is a group of enthusiastic people aiming to tread lightly by reducing their ecological footprint. Mostly in their 20s and 30s the group are meeting regularly to work together to bring their footprint down to size.

Starting with a free screening of Age of Stupid at the Starlight Cinema in North Sydney (9 Feb, 2010) the group will sign up to at least 4 of 6 events. These begin with an Ecotrivia night at the Mosman Hotel (24 Feb, 2010) to test our starting knowledge followed in March by a Green Baby workshop for those trying to live sustainably with small ones, an Eat Well session at the North Sydney Produce Market (17 April, 2010) to help with ideas on shopping and eating sustainably, and a Sustainable Homes session at Mosman Art Gallery (13 May, 2010) when tips and ideas for greening up your home will be shared.

All participants will sign up for a free home audit and will be then be able to access the federal governments Green Loans program. The feedback from this will be available at the May session so that real issues can be addressed. Then onto lighter things with Ecotrivia II in Chatswood where the group can measure their progress and a celebration brunch at the Coal Loader, Waverton (20 June, 2010).

It's free, it's fun and open to 20s and 30s in North Sydney, Mosman and Willoughby.
