Parking Meters on Public Holidays
Information about parking on public holidays in the North Sydney Local Government area
Where parking signs state days of the week and also mention the word "including/and public holidays", you must observe the parking sign as parking and time restrictions/fees do apply. You are required to pay the parking fee if the parking spot is metered.
From December 2016, Major Parking Changes will be applied in Milsons Point
Parking fees and time restrictions will now apply on public holidays in medium to high demand parking areas in Milsons Point. The purpose of the change is to increase parking turnover on these days.
The new parking restrictions will be applied from December 2016 in the following streets which include metered parking spaces:
Alfred Street South between Olympic Drive and Burton Street
Burton Street between Alfred Street South and Broughton Street
Fitzroy Street between Alfred Street South and Broughton Street, on the north side only

Following a Traffic Committee meeting held on 28 November 2014, Council resolved on 15 December 2014
THAT Council investigates appropriate locations and amend the parking restrictions, including parking meter areas that are in medium to high parking demand areas, to include the wording “including Public Holidays”, with a report to the next available Traffic Committee meeting that includes a list of the areas where the parking changes have occurred.
