As part of Council’s efforts to provide a safer environment for all road users, construction works for speed calming devices will soon commence at 11 locations of the area for the Kirribilli and Milsons Point 40km/h High Pedestrian Activity Area Stage 1 project.
These works consist of 4 flush and 2 raised road threshold treatments, 4 continuous footpath treatments and 1 raised pedestrian crossing. This will make the area safer and more attractive for residents and visitors.
The map below shows the locations in pink.
(Stage 2 sites in blue are subject to further investigation.)
The expected commencement date is Monday 22 June 2020, weather and other factors permitting. Construction at each site will take a few days and all works should be completed within 8 weeks.
Council requests that all vehicles be moved from the area indicated by barricading and the special Works Zone signage at the proposed work site by 7.00am on Monday 22 June 2020 and that no vehicles are parked in this area whilst work is in progress without the contractor’s permission. Works will occur Monday to Saturday.
Council’s contractors will work with you to maintain access to your property or make alternative arrangements when necessary.
On street parking will also be affected within the work zone areas. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
The contractor undertaking the work is Anzellotti Constructions Pty Ltd. The on-site supervisor will be able to help with any more specific enquiries regarding this work or you may call Anthony Anzellotti on 0418 223 302 or Council’s Project Manager Phil Yeadon on 0400 776 556
