Installation of a Gross Pollutant Trap in Little Young Street, Cremorne
Please be advised that North Sydney Council will be constructing a new Gross Pollutant Trap (GPT) in Little Young Street Reserve, Cremorne to replace the existing GPT to better protect the downstream waterways from pollutants.
The work will be undertaken by Council’s contractor, Optimal Stormwater. The work will include the decommissioning of the existing GPT, the construction of a new underground GPT, removal of the existing concrete driveway, improvements to access for the future cleaning of the GPT, and restoration of the park area with new turf.
The figure on the reverse page shows the approximate location of work in the reserve.
It is expected that work will commence on Monday, 8 January 2018, it is programed to take approximately 12 weeks to complete, weather permitting.
During the works, access to the reserve will be restricted and traffic in Little Young Street may also be restricted from time to time. Where required traffic control will be provided to manage the pedestrians and road users during the construction.
