Council’s Contractor EzyPave, will soon be commencing planned footpath and drainage upgrade works on Young Street, Neutral Bay
Where are the works?
The works are located on Young Street, Neutral Bay between Military Road and Grosvenor Street.
The order of the works (Stage 1-4) is shown in the plan below.
When will the works take place?
Works commence on Monday 15 June 2020 for a duration of 6 weeks.
The works have been scheduled to take place between 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
What disruption is expected?
Council will be working closely with the Contractor to minimise disruption to the local community within the constraints of the worksite. However, there will be some unavoidable disruption to access, parking and pedestrian traffic. Some construction activities will also generate noise and parking in the vicinity of the work will be unavailable.
Why are the works taking place?
The works are part of Council’s ongoing efforts to make the shopping and commercial strip more appealing as a shopping destination for residents and visitors. The works are partly funded by Transport for NSW and will include new paving at footpaths and driveways, reconstruction of existing pedestrian ramps, permeable paving around trees and restoration and planting of planter boxes.
