Venue: Monte Sant Angelo Mercy College
Maruku Marketplace will showcase artworks from across Central Australia's Pitjantjatjara, Yankunytjatjara and Nyangatjatjara communities.
From the Anangu-owned Maruku art centre located on Anangu traditional homelands, comes a selection of artworks that tell stories of place, language and ceremony. Artists and knowledge keepers come together for this exhibition showcasing wood objects, carvings and paintings, as part of a process of cultural exchange and social justice with Monte Sant' Angelo Mercy College over the past 11 years. Proceeds of sales go directly back to the artists and their communities, so this is a celebration not to be missed.
