Venue: The Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability
Creative Lantern Making Workshop
Create a beautiful lantern using the simple technique of building with bamboo, cane and tissue paper. The lanterns can be constructed in animals, sea creatures or abstract shapes and you can leave them white or paint them with bright colours to create a coloured glow once lit up. Just have fun! Bring along an old shirt or clothes you don’t mind getting glue and paint on, secateurs if you have them, ideas or sketches about what shape of lantern you would like to make and your lunch.
