North Sydney Family Day Care (FDC) is home-based childcare - it's been operating since 1974.
The service is operated by North Sydney Council.
FDC comprises a network of educators supported by a Coordination Unit of early childhood professionals. FDC Educators work in their own homes with groups of up to four children under the age of five years, as well as up to three school-aged children.
The scheme is approved and adheres to the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2017) and the Education and Care Services National Law (2017).
The scheme was assessed in 2017 against the National Quality Standards and received an overall rating of Exceeding National Quality Standards.

FDC for Educators
FDC operates high quality care in educators' homes, regularly monitored for safety and compliance.

All educators operate their own business and fees vary. As a guide, educators charge on average $115 per day.
Currently FDC levies $1 an hour per contract of care.
There is no wait list fee, but a charge of $50 on enrolment.
