North Sydney Children's Festival
The North Sydney Children's Festival is an annual FREE event providing an exciting day out for children and their families with plenty of entertainment and activities on the day.
Creative Playground was the theme for the 2016 Festival and a wide range of activities were on offer to inspire children and spark their imagination.
North Sydney’s Civic Park was transformed into a giant playground with activities such as a petting zoo and hula hooping, live performances and music, arts & crafts, a drumming workshop, face painting and storytime in a tee-pee.
Council information stalls included Bushcare and Environmental Sustainability, as well as Stanton Library. Local community groups participated such as kindergartens, after-school care, playgroups, Scout groups and Early Childhood Centres who provided free art and craft for everyone.
A great variety of food stalls were also available on the day including, Indian, Chinese, Middle Eastern and Filipino cuisines, as well as everyone's favourite, Gozleme and the Scouts ran the Sausage sizzle!
Thank you to everyone involved on the day.
