- Stanton Precinct has had several "Meet Your Neighbour" events; has photographed trees in the area; and compiled an album showing building developments that will change the streetscape of the Precinct.
- The Precinct area and Stanton Library, which first opened in 1964, are named after James Street Stanton who served as an Alderman on North Sydney Council from 1925 to his death in 1943. He was Mayor of North Sydney from 1937 to 1939 and a keen supporter of the free library movement.
