COVID-19 (coronavirus) business support resources

Council understands that this is a difficult and unprecedented time for our business community. Below is a list summary of business support resources currently available:

 

North Sydney Council

To support local businesses and community groups impacted by the Federal and State Government response to COVID-19, Council introduced a policy on 25 March 2020 detailing support and/or waivers of fees or charges, particularly for those impacted by enforced closures.

Federal Government

The Federal Government has announced an economic response totalling $320 billion across the forward estimates, representing 16.4 per cent of annual GDP. This includes the JobKeeper Payment to help keep Australians in jobs.

State Government

The State Government is supporting jobs, healthcare, small business and the community through a $2.3 billion stimulus package in response to COVID-19. This includes the Small Business COVID-19 Support Grant
