Other Road Closure and Special Event Clearway information

Road closures and special event clearways are subject to change. Please check livetraffic.com for up-to-date information on special event clearways and road closures in the North Sydney local government area. NSW Police will implement road closures and will close road and footpath access to the area when the parks and reserves are at capacity or at any time for pedestrian safety.

You must not stop or park on a length of road to which a special event clearway sign applies. The drivers of public buses, taxis and private hire vehicles are permitted to stop when dropping or picking up passengers. If your vehicle is left on a clearway, it will be towed to a nearby street and you will be fined. If your vehicle has been towed, please call 132 701.

Special event clearways are strict no-parking zones, and apply even to residents with local parking permits or Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Please check the list of special event clearways on livetraffic.com and always check signage before you park.

Visit livetraffic.com for up-to-date information.

Other Resident Information

Residents living within a vantage point area will have vehicular access, with valid photo ID, until 3pm on Saturday 31 December and pedestrian access at all times with valid photo ID. If you live within one of these areas, please take ID with you, even for short trips to the shops or to walk your dog.

Other roads surrounding the vantage point will close progressively from 3pm which will give foreshore residents later vehicle access than in previous years.

Resident brochures will be delivered prior to Christmas to residents living in foreshore areas.
