North Sydney Council is seeking to appoint two independent members with appropriate skills, to its Audit Risk and Improvement Committee.
The key role of the Committee is to provide independent assurance and assistance to Council on risk management, control, governance, and external accountability responsibilities.
One representative will be selected to commence in 2019 and the other to commence in 2020.
Applicants do not need to reside within the North Sydney local government area. The Committee will meet as required, but not less than four times during a calendar year (see most recent calendar below). An attendance fee of $500 per meeting is paid to Independent Committee members.
