Reference Groups

Meetings address Council and community matters, and recommendations are put to the next available Council meeting.

Reference Groups are an important part of Council’s community engagement framework. Four Reference Groups have been established to assist in the conduct of Council business.

Citizen members may join Reference Groups. Membership is comprised of individuals and representatives of community groups and organisations operating in North Sydney. All Councillors are members of all Reference Groups. Reference Groups are reviewed after each Council election. Application Form - Reference Groups (29KB)

A report on the proceedings (including recommendations) of Reference Group meetings is submitted to the next available Council meeting for endorsement.
