Walumetta Reserve

Walumetta Reserve is a mostly revegetated site located between the railway corridor at Wollstonecraft and Wondakiah Estate, formerly The Gas Works. It is a mixture of native planting and remnant endemic species, an important connecting habitat between Harry Howard and Badangi Reserves.

The fledgling Bushcare Group working in this reserve was established in 2020 in response to a ground swell of interest from the community to participate in the Bushcare program. Walumetta Bushcare group is one of a few midweek meetings, it requires further support, all are welcome.

All North Sydney Council Bushcare Groups are supervised by a qualified bush regenerator, you will be provided all tools and equipment and instruction to work safely and effectively in the bush. See details below

*** The NSW Government has applied Covid-19 restrictions for Greater Sydney, stay at home orders apply until midnight on Friday 9 July, North Sydney Council's Bushcare program has been suspended until further notice. ***
