National Tree Day
Venue: Forsyth Park Community Garden
Families and community members are invited to join North Sydney Council's Bushland Team and Bushcare Volunteers to plant out a dense buffer edge along the bushland remnant at Forsyth Park, above the Community Garden on the corner of Montpelier Street, Neutral Bay for National Tree Day.
This small and highly valued bushland remnant supports beautiful Angophora Foreshore Forest vegetation and a host of native wildlife species, including the occasional Powerful Owl and resident Eastern Bent-wing micro bats!
Please wear a long sleeved shirt, long pants, a hat and enclosed shoes, bring your own gardening gloves if they have them.
Please refrain from attending is you feel unwell &/or are suffering symptoms consistent with Covid19 and practice social distancing of 1.5m with people living outside of your home.
Apply sunscreen and bring a bottle of drinking water.
North Sydney Council's Bushland Team will supply gloves, tools and equipment for planting.
