Tour of the Coal Loader

Join this free tour of The Coal Loader with the volunteer tour guides to learn the fascinating history of this ex-industrial site and how it has been transformed into a Centre for Sustainability and the community.

Preserving with Australian Native Flavours

Join Margaret from Moss House and The Coal Loader team to learn about various ways of preserving food. 

Margaret will guide participants through the whole process, from preparing and sterilising jars, prepping fruit/veg, to boiling and pasteurising/canning, and how to use native flavours to enhance the finished product.

"200 tons per hour": a guided tour of the Balls Head Coal Loader

Join historian Dr Ian Hoskins and explore one of the most significant industrial heritage sites on Sydney Harbour. Walk through the tunnels of the Balls Head coal loader and experience the newly launched app which brings the working of the mechanised coal loader to life.
