Nan Manefield Young Writers Award

The Nan Manefield Young Writers Award is a writing prize overseen by The Stanton Library and North Sydney Council.


Young people, aged between 11 and 18 years, are invited to submit either a poem or short story of up to 750 words.

The competition is judged in five age categories by a panel of professional writers and has prizes totalling over $2,000.

All winners will also be offered the opportunity to attend a special writers masterclass.

The competition closes in May each year and will be on again next year.
