About the Tutors
Kandy Shepherd swapped a fast paced career as a magazine editor for a life writing fun, feel-good fiction. A communications degree majoring in journalism lead her to a exciting career as a chief editor in women's magazines in both Australia and England. Kandy's aspirations to become a fiction writer were realised when American publishing house Berkley wanted to publisher her romance novel Love is a Four-legged Word. Now enjoying a career in contemporary romance writing she is published by Harlequin and Berkley Sensation and has published 13 books. In between her own writing Kandy enjoys teaming up with friend and fellow writer Cathleen Ross in delivering dynamic and fun writing workshops in libraries around Sydney.
Cathleen Ross is a writing teacher with a BA Dip Ed in English/history, a Graduate Diploma in Communication management and a Diploma in Editing.
