Event Details

Participants are guided to decorate their masks while considering the following:

Ideas generated from the talk on alternate narratives for your life

Guided discussion on reimagining your future

Reflections on self-identity and buried dreams from the written activity.

During the mask-reveal participants will be seated comfortably in a circle as they share their masks and all they represent.

Participants are encouraged to share as fully as they require without fear of interruption or critique.


About the Facilitators

Martine Valentine

This workshop will be lead by psychotherapist Martine Valentine founder of Walk and Talk Counselling. Martine's work is Inspired by her belief that the source of healing and growth is within each individual and her role is to facilitate and accompany the person on their journey towards healing and growth.

Debra Phillips

The talk on alternative Narratives will be given by Debra Phillps who is a phd candidate at The Australian Catholic University, North Sydney campus.The presentation is developed from her research into depression and suicide, and how imagining another future for the self can be considered as a possible strategy to move away from depression.
