Stanton Library Membership
Joining the Library
Membership is free and open to NSW residents. Proof of current home address is required. Young people under the age of 18 also need the signature of a parent or guardian.
If you join Stanton Library you can also borrow at other Shorelink libraries. Each Shorelink library has its own membership guidelines and lending conditions.
Shorelink is a library network which links the four Lower North Shore Council Libraries of Lane Cove, Manly, Mosman and Stanton (North Sydney). Borrowers can use their Shorelink card at any Shorelink Library and have access to a combined collection of over 807,500 items.
Your library card is needed each time you borrow. If it is lost you will need to notify the library staff immediately.
All items may be borrowed for up to 3 weeks.
There is no limit on number of items borrowed. However, Stanton requests that no borrower have more than 4 books on one subject.
All items can be renewed twice if they are not on hold for someone else. Renewals can be made on the Library Catalogue, in person at the Circulation Desk, or by phone during opening hours. When making a phone renewal, you will need to provide your borrower number and item details.
Books may be borrowed from and returned to any main Shorelink library. Audio visual material borrowed from Stanton library must be returned to Stanton. If you would like a book not listed on our catalogue, please ask at the Information Desk or telephone 9936 8400 to organise an interlibrary loan.
Fees, loan periods and items that can be transferred by Inter Library Loan vary between Shorelink libraries. Please contact Stanton Library for further details.
An after hours chute is available outside the library and can be used to return items when the library is closed.
