Meditations on aspects of life as a journey, realised in metal. In these pieces Nicola explores themes such as origin, continuity, entanglement, choices and crises. Journeys can be public or private, individual or collective. The journey’s end may not always be apparent—or even distinguishable from its beginning.
This exhibition includes jewellery and small-scale sculptures in copper, stainless steel, silver, gold and gemstones; and explores the broadly used term of Journey.
Nicola Bannerman is a local Sydney artist and jeweller. Nicola’s jewellery and sculpture have been displayed in Australia in group and solo exhibitions. Featured in local and international magazines, some of her pieces have been purchased for private collections in Japan, USA and Europe.
