Nature Writing Workshop

Venue: Coal Loader Sustainability Centre
Council Event
Cost: Free

Event Details

Bushcare Volunteers and community members are invited to join story teller Gretchen Miller for a writing workshop to explore how to express our connection to nature.

We ask: have you ever rescued a riverbank? A tract of bush, an eroded beach, a waterway, some farmland, a garden or a native tree? A native animal or bird?

What do you feel as you tend to tired earth or look into that creature’s eyes, and in some way, do these things rescue you?

This workshop is inspired by the Rescue Project (Landcare Australia).

We'll be discussing how expressing personal experience can tap into larger, archetypal human experience, and how storytelling can bring about change in the wider world.

Workshop Leader:
In her 30 year career, Gretchen Miller has written for stage (Sydney Opera House), print (The SMH) and has been heard widely as a producer/presenter on ABC RN. Her passion is for environmental storytelling.

Free of charge.
