Join our public art project and help build a giant whale sculpture out of recycled materials, celebrating Sydney's coastal and river wildlife, at the Coal Loader Artisans Market.
Be part of a community art project with artists Susie Rugg and George Buchanan.
Play, experiment, and explore old materials in new ways, letting curiosity and imagination guide you in a relaxed, hands-on experience. You will also learn about ways to help keep our local beaches and rivers healthy.
All ages welcome and materials are supplied.
Check out the Coal Loader Artisans Market while you're there.
This activity is part of the Ocean Lovers Festival, Australia’s largest cultural and science celebration for the ocean, running from 1 to 31 March 2026.
