Pride Picnic is back for another year!
North Sydney Council is hosting a vibrant, family-friendly celebration in Ted Mack Civic Park for the LGBTQIA+ and queer communities. This free event will feature live music performances, drag performances, kids story time readings, artwork exhibition, community stallholders, food vendor and free activities such as face painting and tarot reading.
Picnic- goers are invited to join phoptograhers Anna Hay and Sophie Willison at a pop-up photo booth as part of the Be Seen: Portraits of Queer North Sydney project to have their portrait captured as part of the growing archive. This public-facing activation invites participants to contribute to Be Seen, a community-centred artwork that honours the diversity of queer lives across the North Sydney LGA.
Pack a picnic and don your brightest Pride-themed outfit for an afternoon of queer celebrations.

1.10pm - Storytime reading of 'Abbie’s True Colours' with Abbie Jane of The Rainbow Shoelace Project

2.30pm - Drag kings performance by Kings of Joy
2.45pm - Drag queen performance by Carmen Geddit

Getting to the picnic
Ted Mack Civic Park is located on Miller Street between Stanton Library and the North Sydney Council building.
The Park is:
- accessible by buses, with bus stops immediately outside the venue
- approximately 110 metres distance, or a two-metre walk from the northern exit of Victoria Cross Metro station
- approximately 600 metres distance, or a ten-minute walk, from North Sydney train station
- approximately 210 metres distance, or a three-minute walk from Ridge Street car park. Parking is free all day on Sundays
