
North Sydney Council's New Year's Eve 2026 will take place across Bradfield Park, Blues Point, Cremorne Point and Lavender Bay Parklands, each offering prime views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House for the fireworks display. Council are also extremely proud to again be promoting their Accessible Viewing Area at Milsons Point wharf for this year’s celebrations.
Waverton Park will have toilet facilities only. Balls Head Reserve and the Coal Loader will be closed.
Dates: Wednesday 30 December 2026 to Friday 1 January 2027
Key areas affected: Blues Point, McMahons Point, Lavender Bay, Milsons Point, Kirribilli, Waverton, Kurraba & Cremorne
Tickets will go on sale for New Years Eve 2026 on Wednesday 7 October 2026.
Several foreshore reserves will operate as managed access vantage points this year:
At all sites, bag checks will be conducted on entry for prohibited items such as knives, alcohol and glass. Consumption of alcohol is prohibited in these areas, and this will be enforced by Security and NSW Police.

Permitted items
Picnic blankets, picnic bags/food, small sunshades (must be taken down at dusk), portable chairs, liquid in sealed containers only (e.g. juice, soft drink,no glass containers), empty reusable water bottles.
If you’re bringing a picnic, we encourage you to bring your own empty water bottles that can be filled at water stations inside the parks.

- No pets: pets are not allowed at any event sites

No alcohol
Transport: Nearest stations are North Sydney and Victoria Cross Metro. Limited ferries will depart from McMahons Point after the midnight fireworks
Restrictions: No glass, drones, camping, cabanas or marquees, pets, busking equipment, cheese knives, or re-entry once the site is full.
Ticketing: $65 (inc GST). Tickets on sale October 7
- Bradfield Park includes Mary Booth Reserve
Upper Brafield Park capacity: 6,400 attendees
Mary Booth Reserve capacity: 2,500 attendees

Restrictions: Same as Bradfield Park. No re-entry
- Milsons Point Accessible Viewing Area (Ferry Wharf)
- Strictly for people with accessible requirements and their families (1 guest + 1)
- Open from 4pm to 12.30am
- EOI for free ticket application to be released at 9am on October 7 2026
- Limited number of tickets for this area – first come first served basis
- Some transport will be made available on the day from Milsons Station to the platform
- No alcohol
- Waverton Park and St Peters Park
Facilities: Bathrooms only.
Alcohol is prohibited in all these areas.
