The North Sydney Development Control Plan 2013 contains detailed provisions on all aspects of development not covered under North Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2013.
The DCP provisions are not legally binding, however they are given weight in the assessment of all development applications.

The NSDCP 2013 supersedes all other development control plans previously adopted by Council.
It identifies general issues, such as residential development and cultural resources, and localised planning issues derived from our Area Character Study.
Please note employment zones commence within North Sydney Local Local Environmental Plan 2013 on 26 April 2023. From 26 April 2023, in a document (other than a state environmental planning policy) a reference to a former zone under an environmental planning instrument is taken to include a reference to a new zone under the environmental planning instrument.
