Highlights and Current Projects
Bennett Precinct has been operating continuously since 1981, and has dealt with hundreds of issues with a focus on preserving the heritage of the local built environment and improving our local area in lots of ways.
The Committee held its first community BBQ in June 2008 which was attended by over 100 local residents.
Bennett Precinct and street are named after Irish engineer, William Bennett (1824-1889), who was New South Wales Commissioner for Roads and Bridges and lived nearby in a house named ‘Honda’ from 1864 until his death in 1889.
