Highlights and Current Projects:

  • Bennett Precinct has been operating continuously since 1981, and has dealt with hundreds of issues with a focus on preserving the heritage of the local built environment and improving our local area in lots of ways.

  • The Committee held its first community BBQ in June 2008 which was attended by over 100 local residents.

  • Bennett Precinct and street are named after Irish engineer, William Bennett (1824-1889), who was New South Wales Commissioner for Roads and Bridges and lived nearby in a house named ‘Honda’ from 1864 until his death in 1889.
