Highlights and Current Projects:

  • Willoughby Bay Precinct actively promotes the character of the built environment, for example: the Montague Road Conservation Area, as well as public transport (the 343 bus service).
  • The Precinct supports increasing road safety for pedestrians and vehicles.
  • The name Willoughby was first used on the North Shore by Surveyor-General Sir Thomas Mitchell possibly in honour of his close friend, Sir James Willoughby Gordon. The Precinct area is bounded on one side by this bay.
