About David Earle

David Allan Earle worked variously with the National Trust of NSW, the City of Sydney and the National Parks and Wildlife Service of NSW. As a member of the North Shore Historical Society, his expertise in heritage conservation was invaluable. David assisted with research and planning for the restoration and reuse of Don Bank Cottage as a Museum. He documented a great deal of North Sydney’s built landscape in the 1970s, a time of great change, when much was being lost. David was killed in a car accident near Lake Cargelligo in 1986. The Local Studies Collection at Stanton Library was named in his honour.
