Join us for a monthly drop-in technology session with friendly Stanton Library staff in a supportive environment. There is no such thing as a silly question!

  • 12 October, 10.30am — Heritage Centre Databases

Are you interested in local history? Get to know three databases that will start you on your journey into North Sydney’s fascinating past. Your presenter will give you an introduction to Trove, the National Library of Australia’s incredible database, the Heritage Centre digital collections and Cyndi’s List, a launching pad of links to anything and everything history.

  • 25 November, 1.30pm  — iPhone Basics

Explore the basics of operating an iPhone and get to know the most popular features. This includes general functions of calling and texting, accessing and using the Internet, as well as installing apps and taking photos and videos. Perfect for first-time users.

  • 14 December, 10.30am  — Cyber Safety

Keep yourself safe online with this beginner’s introduction to cyber safety. Become an expert on how to protect your data, and strengthen your computer's security by learning about things such as phishing, scam calls and texts, dangerous links, private browsing and more.
