Tips for preparing your application
Before you write your application
- Confirm you meet the eligibility criteria by reviewing the overview and guidelines
- Read the assessment criteria
- Ensure your practice is suitable for the spaces
When answering the application questions
- Read the question and answer in clear, plain language
- Ask someone unconnected to your application to check your application for errors and offer feedback
- Give yourself plenty of time to write, review and refine your application
Preparing your supporting documentation
1. Applicants will need to upload a copy of their artist CV in .pdf format.
- Please keep your CV to one single page, and upload it in .PDF format
- Your CV should relate to your creative practice, it should only contain content and achievements that are related to your creative career, not your work history unrelated to your creative practice
- Ensure your CV is up to date and shows your recent achievements or activities. The assessment panel will want to see that you have a current and active practice.
- Please use plain fonts and formatting. Adding background images or colours makes your CV difficult to read on a screen.

2. Examples of current work in at least one of the formats listed below. The panel will only look at the work you upload, so choose your best work, we have included some tips to help you.
- Still images - up to ten (10) still images supplied in one (1) file in .pdf format and no larger than 10mb in total.
- Your images will be viewed by the panel on a monitor
- Use a good quality, non blurry, images. If you have professionally photographed images use those, otherwise ensure that you use a clear and well-lit image of your artwork
- Please don't provide more than the listed number of images. The assessment panel will only see the first 10 images
- Written work - up to five (5) pages in total sumitted in one (1) file in .pdf format and no larger than 10mb in total
- Use plain easy to read font, unless specific formatting is part of the work
- Please don't provide more than the listed number of pages. The assessment panel will only see the first 5 pages
- Video/moving imagery - direct URL links (max 5 minutes of content in total)
- You may submit a showreel / compilation of a number of works, as long as it does not exceed 5 mins in total
- Double check your spelling to make sure you have typed the URL correctly
- Ensure the submitted URL is public and does not require a password to view
- The assessment panel view a maximum of 5 minutes
- Sound/Music - direct URL links (max 5 minutes of content in total)
- You may submit a showreel / compilation of a number of works, as long as it does not exceed 5 mins in total
- Double check your spelling to make sure you have typed the URL correctly
- Ensure the submitted URL is public and does not require a password to view
- The assessment panel view a maximum of 5 minutes
- PDF Support Material can be created using a variety of applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Word, Google Docs or Slides, Canva etc.
