Come along to any of our free history tours to learn more:
These are run on the first and third Saturdays of each month, led by our fabulous volunteer tour guides. Totally free and open to all, discover the hidden secrets of the site, past and present. The Coal Loader, together with the Aboriginal Heritage Office, and Koori Kinnections, host free cultural tours and workshops each season. The tours and workshops will vary in theme and cover a wealth of topics including; the indigenous cultural heritage of the land, discussions about the indigenous rock engraving, a tour of the bushfoods garden, and how indigenous culture embodies sustainability and directly relates to The Coal Loader’s motto: Learn from the past, embrace the future.
If you have a group of ten or more, you can apply to book a private tour during the week. These are free for schools and social groups. A small fee is applicable for commercial tours.
