Each year, North Sydney Council celebrates the people making a difference in our community by sharing their stories.
Behind every great neighbourhood are people making things happen in big and small ways. The Community Awards capture these stories, highlighting the everyday contributions that make North Sydney what it is.
Last year, we heard from people growing community gardens at the Coal Loader, creating spaces for men to connect and support each other, helping residents repair and reuse rather than waste, and caring for our bushland for future generations.
If you know someone whose story deserves to be told, we’d love to hear from you.
It might be a volunteer, a local changemaker, or a project bringing people together. Whatever the impact, your story submission helps recognise the people who make North Sydney a better place to live.
Submissions close 31 July 2026.
