Harbour Bridge cycle ramp welcomed by North Sydney cyclists
The Sydney Harbour Bridge cycle ramp upgrade has significantly improved safety, accessibility and convenience for local residents and commuters. After years of advocacy and delays, the improvements removed steep steps and reduced conflicts between cyclists and pedestrians.
This project shows that close collaboration between council and the NSW Government is vital for delivering complex infrastructure. North Sydney Council played a supporting role in the project, helping ensure it aligned with the Council’s Bike Action Plan and integrated with the local cycling network. Download a flyer
