Explore the tactile possibilities of handmade paper with Stephanie Peters in this experimental hand paper making collage workshop where nothing goes to waste.
You’ll learn how to create rich, layered works by embedding and collaging with both wet and dry papermaking techniques. Expect to rip, layer, press, and play.
Bring your old prints, drawings, textile scraps and fabric offcuts, salvage, threads, string, rice papers, offcuts, magazines, book pages, old journals, stencils— (anything flat) that you’ve been holding onto that’s waiting for a second life. We’ll be combining fresh pulp to build new compositions from salvaged materials.
The process is intuitive, fun, and deeply satisfying. There are no mistakes and no prior experience is needed—just a curiosity for texture, layering, and sustainable making.
All papermaking tools and pulp will be provided.
