A workshop for people with disability, families, carers and support people to help shape our next Disability Inclusion Action Plan.
This workshop has been cancelled. You can still register for the online workshop on Tuesday 28 October.
North Sydney Council is developing a new Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) 2026–2030 to make our community more inclusive and accessible for people with disability.
We want to hear directly from people with lived experience of disability, their families, carers and support networks. Your feedback will help shape the priorities and actions in the DIAP.
The workshop will be guided by lived experience, with space for open conversation, sharing ideas, and shaping solutions together. Your voice matters and together, we can build a community where everyone belongs.
The workshop will focus on:
- Barriers: what makes it harder for people with disability to fully participate in community life.
- Opportunities: what is working well and how we can build on it.
- Ideas for action: practical steps Council can take to improve access, inclusion and equity.
- Priorities for the future: what people with disability want to see in the new Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2026–2030.
