Visit the former Torpedo Factory at Sub Base Platypus for a day of free family friendly activities.

Work to revitalise the former Torpedo Factory at Sub Base Platypus, North Sydney, has reached an important milestone – the completion of a sheltered public area. To celebrate, the Harbour Trust is hosting a day of free activities on Saturday 16 September. There will be a smoking ceremony, live music, tours, food to purchase and more!

While there, you'll enjoy a new vantage point of Neutral Bay and opportunities to engage with the layered story of Sub Base Platypus, formerly the site of a gas works, torpedo factory and submarine base. These include a storytelling space with historical artefacts as well as an original mural that recognises and honours Country.

Visit the Harbour Trust’s website to view the full program.

Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and catch public transport.
