Learn to spin paper with a drop spindle. In this workshop we will explore spindling with found and recycled papers. A build-your-own CD spindle is provided. This workshop is full of tips and hints on working with paper as a yarn, including methods for dyeing papers, which papers work best, preparing your paper for spinning, joining papers and what to do with your newly spun yarn. We will try out some creative options for your paper yarn including knitting, crochet, weaving, coiled basket making and more!
Suitable for experienced spinners and beginners alike. A CD spindle will be provided to each participant.
