Learn to spin with Ann Jackson, one of Australia’s foremost spindling instructors.

Spindling through some beautiful fibres and rovings as well as a wide selection of spindles, we'll work through all the "styles" of spindling from drop to support. From the tiniest Turkish to the majestic Navajo, we'll try them all and learn how to take fibre and make it into yarn.

Spindling is a wonderful skill to have when challenged with bus trips, doctor office waits, kids sports viewing and just trying to wind down from a hectic day.

Ann has been spindling for 20 years and enjoys taking someone from throwing down the spindle saying "I can't do this" to seeing them produce fine strong yarn.

Whether you’ve never held a spindle or you’re experienced but are looking for some new techniques, come along! We’ll have a great day.

All the supplies you need will be provided, but feel free to bring any spindles you may currently possess as well as any samples of yarn/or items made with yarn you are keen to replicate. Also, a bag to bring home your samples and loot!
