Celebrate Earth Day in style at this free Swap & Save event. Trade in your pre-loved clothes, books and toys for fresh finds in a fun, sustainable and budget-friendly way.
Join this clothes swap event in the Torpedo Factory Precinct at Sub Base Platypus to mingle with likeminded thrifty fashionistas, refresh your wardrobe and help fight the war against waste. There will be two parts to the event:
- Clothes swap: 11am to 1pm
- Kids stuff swap: 1.30pm to 3pm (clothing, books and toys)
For each pre-loved garment, toy or book you bring to the Sub Base Platypus Swap & Save Day, you’ll receive a special button to use as currency to purchase great items supplied by other participants. Remember: swapping works best when participants supply items that meet a high standard of quality. To ensure you and other participants leave content, please familiarise yourself with the swapping guidelines.
But wait, there's more! Keep your eyes peeled for Reverse Garbage, who will be hosting an exciting kids workshop during the event. Let the little ones unleash their creativity as they craft adorable animals from reclaimed materials.
